Jaipur: A tragic incident occurred in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, where a 24-year-old Agniveer lost his life due to an explosion during a mock drill. The explosion happened on Friday at a training camp in the Golpura Army Area, according to police officials.

The victim, Saurabh Pal, was critically injured when a fire extinguisher unexpectedly exploded during the exercise, said DSP Anil Jasoria. Pal, originally from Bhakhara village in Uttar Pradesh’s Kannauj district, was rushed to a hospital for treatment but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

Pal had joined the Indian Army under the Agniveer scheme in 2023. His family has been informed of the incident, and his body was handed over to them on Saturday.
