The Bajrang Sena Telangana, a right-wing group based in the city, has urged police action against the organizers of a recent Dandiya event held at S S Convention in Hyderabad. They allege that non-Hindus were permitted to attend, which disrupted the gathering and offended Hindu participants.
In a letter addressed to DCP Shamshabad, N R Laxman Rao, the President of Bajrang Sena Telangana, expressed concerns that a group of non-Hindus had “intruded” upon the Dandiya event organized by Namdhari Events. He claimed that the organizers failed to address the issue and instead defended the individuals by stating they were part of the event management team. This response, according to the complaint, intensified the offense felt by the Hindu community.
The Bajrang Sena has demanded that appropriate action be taken against the event organizers and has called for measures to prevent similar incidents in the future. In response, the organizers released a video on social media clarifying that the individuals in question were indeed members of the event management team, not participants.
