In Purnia, Bihar, MP Pappu Yadav addressed the media regarding ongoing threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. This recent threat, received through intimidating WhatsApp messages sent to his personal secretary, Mohammad Sadiq Alam, follows a series of similar incidents that have led to multiple FIRs but few resolutions. The latest messages arrived early on November 7, with claims that “six individuals” were hired to assassinate Yadav, accompanied by an image of a Turkish pistol reportedly intended for the act.
Despite alerting high-ranking officials and a previous arrest linked to these threats, Yadav criticized the ongoing failure to stop the intimidation. He suspects political motivations or systemic issues enabling this harassment and continues to call for a decisive investigation. However, Yadav remains resolute, stating that he will stand by the truth and continue his work undeterred.
