Haryana BJP state president Mohan Lal Badoli and singer Rocky Mittal have been booked in a gang rape case following a complaint lodged by a woman in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan district. The FIR was registered on December 13, 2024, at the Kasauli police station, with charges of gang rape, criminal intimidation, and threats leveled against the accused.
According to the complainant, the alleged incident took place on July 3, 2023, at the Ros Common Hotel in Kasauli. She claims that she had visited the area with her employer and a friend, during which she met Badoli and Mittal. The accused allegedly lured her with promises of a government job and a lead role in a music album. When she declined their offers, she was forcibly taken to a hotel room, intoxicated, sexually assaulted, and photographed in compromising positions.
The complainant further stated that the accused threatened her and her friend with serious consequences if they reported the matter. She alleges that two months before lodging the complaint, she was summoned to Panchkula, Haryana, where the accused threatened her again, warning her against revealing the incident.
In his defense, Mohan Lal Badoli has dismissed the allegations as politically motivated and an attempt to malign his reputation. Meanwhile, Rocky Mittal has yet to issue a statement regarding the accusations. The Himachal Pradesh police have initiated an investigation, and further action will be taken based on the findings.
This case has sparked significant attention due to the involvement of high-profile individuals, with calls for a fair and transparent investigation from various quarters.
