In a life-changing moment, an Indian technician from Kerala, Rajesh Mullankil Vellilapullithodi, has won AED 15 million (approximately ₹34.88 crore) in the popular Big Ticket raffle draw held in Abu Dhabi.
Rajesh, 45, who has been working and living in Oman for the past 33 years, emerged as the lucky winner in Big Ticket Draw No. 273, held on April 3. He had purchased the winning ticket — number 375678 — online on March 30, just days before the draw.
Speaking to the media, an overwhelmed Rajesh said, “I was shocked and couldn’t believe it when I received the call. A friend had just asked me to check, but I never thought I would be the one to win. This is beyond imagination.”
A regular participant in the Big Ticket raffle, Rajesh often buys tickets in partnership with a group of friends. He has confirmed that the prize money will be shared among the group, though specific plans are still being considered.
Meanwhile, Big Ticket has announced more opportunities for participants to win big. Customers who purchase two or more tickets in a single transaction between April 1 and 24 stand a chance to win additional cash prizes in the “Big Win” contest. Prizes range from AED 20,000 to AED 150,000, and four lucky participants will also be invited to attend the next live draw on May 3.
In addition, the upcoming draws include luxury car giveaways, with a Range Rover Velar and BMW M440i to be awarded in May and June, respectively.
