TEHRAN, June 8, 2025 – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced that Iran is prepared for inspections of its nuclear facilities, emphasizing that the country will not accept coercion in the process. His remarks came during a meeting with Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu in Tehran.
Pezeshkian stated that Iran’s nuclear activities are completely “transparent,” a claim that has been repeatedly confirmed by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). He expressed Iran’s readiness for inspections while asserting that any deprivation of nations of knowledge and scientific achievements is unacceptable.
The Kazakh foreign minister acknowledged Iran’s “principled and logical” stance on peaceful nuclear activities and delivered a written message from Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, expressing hope for improved bilateral relations.
The two officials agreed to enhance cooperation in various fields, including signing a memorandum of understanding on diplomatic archives. This meeting occurs amid ongoing indirect nuclear talks between Iran and the United States, mediated by Oman, focusing on Tehran’s nuclear program and the lifting of US sanctions.
As the situation develops, Iran’s commitment to transparency in its nuclear activities remains a focal point in international discussions.
