TEHRAN – Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) has declared that the country’s armed forces will respond decisively by targeting Israel’s undisclosed nuclear facilities if Iran is subjected to military aggression. This warning follows assertions from Iranian officials regarding their acquisition of sensitive intelligence related to Israeli operations.
Intelligence Minister Esmaeil Khatib revealed that Iran has successfully obtained a substantial amount of Israeli documents through its intelligence efforts, which has enabled the identification of critical Israeli targets for potential counterstrikes. The SNSC highlighted that this intelligence initiative is part of a comprehensive strategy to counteract misinformation from adversarial entities and to bolster Iran’s defensive posture.
The council emphasized that the newly acquired intelligence would facilitate rapid targeting of hidden nuclear sites in the event of an Israeli attack on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. Furthermore, it would enable Iran to execute measured retaliatory actions against any assaults on its economic or military interests.
Israel is widely suspected of possessing nuclear weapons, although it has consistently refrained from confirming or denying such claims, adhering to a policy of strategic ambiguity. The ongoing hostilities between Iran and Israel have intensified, raising alarms about the potential for military confrontations in the region.
